Installing RightSpend

Installing RightSpend is easy. You can be up and running in minutes. We require simple read-only access to your AWS accounts. We use this access to analyze your EC2 spend. Additionally we have a separate stack that provides limited write permissions to manage cRIs, only within a designated account.

Step 1

Install this CloudFormation template into your AWS Management Account. This template uses stacksets to keep all member accounts up to date; it will deploy this stack in ALL accounts in your organization.

  • Name the stack whatever you please.
  • When prompted for an ExternalID, please set a unique value. This is an additional security measure.
  • Check “I acknowledge AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources with custom names.”
  • Let us know once this is complete, along with the ExternalID value you set, and your Management Account ID.
